Unlawful Use of GPS Tracker Can Send People to Prison Cells
Costa Mesa- A cop from Costa Mesa was recently charged for hiding a GPS device on a woman’s car without her consent. The stalking cop had prior relationship with the woman and allegedly uses the GPS to show up in places where she traveled to in an attempt to bring back their relationship. Aaron Parsons, 30, is now sentenced to a maximum of six months in jail. After a number of run ins, the woman started to become suspicious and checked her automobile. She found a GPS that belonged to the Costa Mesa Police Department and immediately reported it to authorities.
